Second Saturday Screenings

H-E-B cares about you and your family's health. That's why we offer these convenient, affordable tests so that you can effectively manage your health by knowing your numbers. Screenings are offered March through October on the second Saturday of the month from 9 am to 12 pm.

Blood Pressure – No Charge

The Blood Pressure screening is an easy, simple test which offers useful information about the health of your heart and blood vessels. This screening measures the pressure of blood inside the arteries during and between heartbeats. High blood pressure can lead to a heart attack or stroke if left untreated.

Blood Glucose – No Charge

The Blood Glucose screening measures blood glucose (sugar) levels in the blood over the past 24 hours. This test is useful to identify individuals at risk for diabetes or to help diabetics manage their blood glucose levels.

Quarterly Diabetes Test (A1C) - $29.99

Doctor-recommended A1C tests give a patient a picture of their average blood glucose levels. An A1C screening works differently than the tests performed at home with a glucometer because it monitors glucose levels over the last 3 months. This test is ideal for patients with diabetes, or for patients who are at risk of becoming diabetic.
